SC stays NCLT order

New Delhi Dec 13: The Supreme Court on Wednesday has stayed an order passed an order passed by NCLT .Earlier on December 8 the National Company Law Tribunal has allowed the government to undertake Unitech limited.

Earlier the Attorney General K K Venugopal has said that "the government should not have moved the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) when the apex court was seized of the matter."

The Apex court had agreed to the government's arguments and had stayed the order and had asked why did the government didn't take the top court's permission to move the NCLT for suspension of Unitech's directors and their substitution by government nominees.

Finally, the top court has said that " law tribunal's order would meet the ends of the justice."
