Cash crunch again; ATM run dry

Patna, Dec 13: The people of Patna are facing the cash crunch as some of the ATMs are not working and cash is not being replaced in some of the ATMs. Sources said that RBI had stopped the supply of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500 notes.

Chief manager of SBI main branch Sayyed Muzaffar-ud-din said that "the bank branch is constantly trying to reach the RBI to address the issue. and currently, 300 ATMs have been dry ".

He added that "the bank branch is trying alternate means to provide cash to the people and the matter will be solved soon".

However, the Opposition party has alleged that "supply of big notes has been stopped because they were routed to Gujarat for the state elections."

Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Bihar Mangal Pandey had said that "the opposition is suffering from 'Gujarat phobia'.people should not lose their calm as it was a temporary problem while adding that the same will be resolved soon."
