Gujarat Poll Officials 'Forget' EVM In Jeep

Rajpipla, December 11: As we knew that, The Gujarat First Phase elections have been completed and initially the report said that, The polling percentage was 68 but after the calculation, it was reduced to 66.75 %.

Here the thing is that, The officials have "forgot" a "spare" VVPAT EVM unit in a private jeep while returning to Rajpipala, a senior officer said.

The Incident has occurred on Saturday, but it came to light on Sunday.

After the incident came to light on Sunday, District Collector and Election Officer R S Ninama claimed that the EVM unit was a "spare" one and was not used in the polling in the Dediapada (ST) seat.

"This was a spare EVM unit which was not used in the polling. Having said that, we have started the procedure of issuing a show cause notice to the concerned poll officials for showing such negligence," he added.
