Social Media is bad for Health Says Star Wars Actress

Los Angeles, December 07: Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley says social media is bad for mental health.

The 25-year-old, who stars as Rey in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, quit Instagram earlier this year.

In an interview with Radio Times, she says she did it because of how bad it is for mental health.

"The more I read about teenage anxiety, the more I think it's highly unhealthy for people's mental health," Ridley said.



Ridley has been vocal about quitting social media. She left Instagram after facing backlash for sharing a post about victims of gun violence.

She will next be seen reprising her role of Rey in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi".
