25 years of Babri masjid demolition -Politics hindred solution

Its been 25 years since Indian Politics has changed its course and a incident that has shaken the nation . The Babri Masjid located in the site of Ayodhya the birthplace of Lord Rama has been demolished on Dec 6, 1992, and the dispute has not yet been solved. Generally, Muslims Observe Dec 6 as the black day and protest but this year no such celebrations have taken place.

Currently, the dispute has reached supreme court and various parties have proposed various arguments and the final hearing would start from Feb 8, 2018.However, some political parties have intervened in the dispute settlement process and have ensured that the dispute never settles so that they can polarize the voters ahead of every election.

However, as the time passed the gimmicks by political parties have faded and they realized that current generation wants a solution that a Ram temple is built at Ayodhya and the mosque can be built as prescribed by the Muslims . However the Muslims too are divided over the site where a mosque can be built with Shia waqf board wants to build a mosque at Lucknow and the sunny waqf board has not yet decided.

Currently, Spiritual Leaders, Sri Sri Ravishankar has tried to mediate the issue and has held talks with various stakeholders and hopes that a settlement would be possible and the supreme court has advocated the same.

Earlier the Babri Masjid was demolished after BJP leader Advani has conducted a Ratha Yathra all across the country to build a Ram temple and currently some cases are pending against the leaders. The BJP had used the issue to build it party in past 25 years and is currently ruling majority of states and central government.

The Congress party too supported the temple construction and has said that we would accept the verdict announced by the court. Finally, people hope that 2018 would see a solution to long-standing problem and dream that Indian culture, tradition, and faith would be preserved and would not be used by political parties.
