Rahul Gandhi to become next congress president

New Delhi Dec 6: Congress party next president had been confirmed and it is none other than Rahul Gandhi. The nominations filed for the party president were scrutinized and 11 December is the last date to withdraw nominations.

The party's returning officer for the election said that "Rahul was the only validly nominated candidate after the scrutiny of 89 nominations filed on his behalf by several party leaders yesterday."

Party leader Rahul Gandhi has filed nomination on December 4 after he took blessings from his mother and other leaders. Earlier former
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called Rahul Gandhi has daring of the party and said that he has good future.

Sources said that Rahul would be coronated as party president on Dec 11 ahead of Gujarat elections.
