EC rejects Actor Vishal and Deepa Nominations for RK Nagar Bypoll

Chennai Dec 5: In yet another twist in Tamilnadu Politics the election commission has rejected the nominations of Actor Vishal and former Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa Jayakumar for RK Nagar by poll.

The returning officers have said that both the nominations were rejected after they found discrepancies in the nomination papers filed.



sources said that "J.Deepas affidavit stated current market value of two grounds in Sivagnanam St in T.Nagar with 2600 sq.ft. Built up an area as 'NIL'. She didn't state area or survey number of agricultural land.She did not disclose Bank FD's and spouse column
was blank except for PAN Number."

The EC has also rejected Vishal nomination because he has left some columns unfilled related to the property details and some people have stated that their signatures were forged and they don't know him.
