Ravi Ashwin joins Lyon as highest wicket-taker in Tests in 2017

New Delhi, December 05: 2017 has been the best year for Ravi Chandran Ashwin, as can be seen from a breakdown of his yearly performances in test matches.

Ravichandran Ashwin became the highest Test wicket-taker for this year, joins with Nathon Lyon after taking the wicket of Niroshan Dickwella on Day 3 of the third test between India and Sri Lanka at Delhi.



That takes them beyond South Africa's Kagiso Rabada (54), with only Ravindra Jadeja in close attention and still to play Test action this year. The India spinner is currently in action against Sri Lanka.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka is trail by 164 runs in their first Innings.
