Volcano eruption in Bali continue

Bali Dec 2: The Volcano eruption in Bali of Indonesia has intensified further compared to past few days and currently gashes and ash are being erupted high in the sky.

Officials have said that "Lava has filled up one-third of the crater of Agung volcano and bigger eruptions would continue in coming days".

The Centre for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation said that "High-frequency earthquakes continue to occur and show that the volcano is very active and capable of pressurization to cause the ongoing eruptions."

The director of information for the Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, said that "the crater has been spewing ash up to a height of 2,000 meters".

The International Airport has been opened and the flights are traveling as per schedule.However many people have been evacuated and they have been shifted to safe shelters.

Bali is the main tourist destination in Indonesia, with an annual influx of around 5.4 million.Earlier the volcano has erupted in 1963 and has killed nearly 1000 people .
