GES 2017: Paypal Vice president Lisa Mather about financial inclusion

Hyderabad Nov 30: The Global Entrepreneurship Summit Day 3 has begun and various discussions took place on Day 2 of the summit.A panel discussion on 'Payment Platforms: What's the Next Game Changer' took place and the session was attended by the co-founder of Flipkart Sachin Bansal,Ruth Patricia Goodwin, PayPal vice president Lisa Mather have participated in the discussion.

Speaking at the summit PayPal vice president Lisa Mather, also Chief International Counsel, who moderated the session said: "Financial services companies in various countries were collaborating to strengthen the digital infrastructure without entirely waiting for the governments to expedite digital transactions."

At the end of the discussion, the panel agreed that digital transactions would also enter education and healthcare sectors which remained largely untouched in India. Technology disruption is waiting to happen in these two sectors too and many startups are working to provide solutions to ease credit problems.
