Bali airport reopens; Red alert downgraded to Orange; Wind to decide

Jakarta Nov 29: Bali airport re-opened on Wednesday after being shut for two days due to volcanic eruption which left hundreds of tourists stranded.

The danger zone area near the eruption site was evacuated and Red alert was given in advance.

The flights resumed from 3 p.m at Nigurah Rai International Airport.

The Red alert of Volcano was downgraded to orange by Volcano Observatory Notice.

The smoke from Mount Agung was seen reaching as high as three kilometres and if the wind changes direction the the airport will be closed again.
