Chinese apps Threat to India: Intelligence Reports

New Delhi Nov 28: In a Move to improve the safety of India, the central and state paramilitary forces have been warned of a possible leak to Chinese authorities via Chinese origin apps and mobile devices.

The Authorities have prepared a list of about 40 apps- including some very common apps- which pose the possibility of transmitting personal data to Chinese authorities.

DIG, Intelligence of one of the central paramilitary forces has said that " the apps if accessed by military officials, paramilitary forces may give out sensitive information to the northern neighbor. "

Experts have said that " excessive data usage by any of the apps is a clear indication that the app is accessing and transmitting excessive information, it is probably not meant to use."

Finally, the officers have issued warnings and advised all the people to be aware of these apps.
