Vijay Mallya Extradition fast-tracked

London Nov 27: In a move to extradite the Liquor baron Vijay Mallya to India the Investigative agencies have prepared a note of charges against him and has decided the Jail venue for his stay in the Court.

Government officials have said that "The Westminster Magistrates' Court in London will be told that it is the duty of the state to ensure the security of prisoners and Mallya's apprehension about a threat to his life is misleading. The court will be told that the prisons in India are as good as in any other country in the world and prisoners' rights are fully protected in Indian jails"



The officials have decided that Fugitive would stay in Arthur Road jail in Mumbai when he is extradited by UK Court. Currently, the Criminal is in London and he has defaulted the banks a loan of Rs 9000 crore and the investigative agencies have filed criminal cases against him.
