High Court :TRT recruitment based on 10 districts

Hyderabad Nov 25: In a major setback to Telangana Government, the Hyderabad High Court on Friday had ordered the state government to conduct the ongoing recruitment of Telangana Teachers according to 10 old districts and not the new 31 districts.

The Court has also said that it is not possible to recruit the posts under the newly formed districts as the state government doesn't have the power to amend the presidential order.

The court has also directed the TSPSC to issue an edited notification in this regard and can continue with examination schedule and people who have already applied need not reapply. The bench also directed the public service commission to extend the deadline for receiving an application to December 15.



The court has commented that "The consideration of new districts is nothing but modifying the local cadre without an amendment to the Presidential Order and hence the state has no power".

Earlier the TSPSC has issued notification for teacher recruitment test and considered 31 districts for local cadre and not the old cadre.

TSPSC sources said that the edited notification would be issued in a week and the people can edit their districts.
