Telangana declares General Holidays list of 2018

Hyderabad, November 25: The TS govt declared Telangana General Holidays Optional Holidays 2018. Further, The State Government directs that all offices under State Government shall remain closed on all Second Saturdays and Sundays in all the months during the year 2018.

But the Second Saturday (10.02.2018) in February 2018 is exempted since public holiday declared on 1st January 2018. In addition to the above General Holidays, the State Government employees may avail themselves of five Optional Holidays during the year 2018.

Employees can avail any optional holiday at their option and irrespective of the religion to which the festival pertains. To avail these holidays, employees have to apply for, in writing in advance.

Superior Officer competent to grant casual leave is the authority to sanction these holidays. However, the leave cannot be issued to the employee whose presence is necessary.
