IRISET celebrates Diamond Jubilee

Hyderabad Nov 24: Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications, IRISET located in Tarnaka of Hyderabad will celebrate its diamond jubilee on its campus on Friday.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal would be the chief guest for a special function that would be held today and will inaugurate a Heritage Gallery of the Railway Signaling and Telecommunication Department and a state-of-art Japanese technology Electronic Interlocking Equipment on the occasion.

The officials such as Akhil Agrawal, Director-General (Signal & Telecom), Railway Board, Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway, and N Kashinath, Addl. Member (Signal), Railway Board will be present.

IRISET is located at Tarnaka in the city was established on November 24, 1957, and has been playing a key role to impart training to officers and supervisors of the Signal and Telecommunication Department of Indian Railways, foreign Railways and Public and Private sector Signal Engineers. IRISET also conducts regular mandatory refresher and safety courses.
