Rahul asks Modi to stop hiding, open Parliament; Rafale deal fraud

New Delhi Nov 21: Rahul Gandhi tweeted in response to a video posted by party leader Randeep Surjewala, in which the later asked whether the government was postponing the Winter session of Parliament due to alleged wrong-doing in the Rs 59,000 crore contract for 36 French Rafale fighters.

Rahul took a dig at Modi and asked him to stop hiding and open Parliament so that the truth can be heard by the nation on Rafale deal.

"The truth does not go away because you hide from it. Modi ji, stop hiding and open the Parliament so the truth of what you did on Rafale can be heard by the nation," Rahul tweeted.

"The Modi government in its arrogance has cast a dark shadow on India's Parliamentary democracy by sabotaging the Winter Session on flimsy grounds. It's mistaken if it thinks by locking the temple of democracy, it'll escape constitutional accountability ahead of elections," Congress chief Sonia Gandhi said at a meeting of the Congress Working Committee on Monday.
