Virat Kohli 50 century helps to claim 5th rank in ICC Test Rankings

New Delhi, November 21: India captain Virat Kohli has edged Warner to take the fifth position after completing his 50th international century in the first match of a three-Test series against Sri Lanka in Kolkata, which ended in a draw on Tuesday.
His 104-run innings in Kolkata helped him break into the Top-5.while Ravindra Jadeja left-arm spinner moved to third place because in the Kolkata Eden garden pitch is supported to Pacers, he was unable to push for a chance at reclaiming No 1 in the ICC Test allrounder's table. Bowling just two overs in Kolkata has pushed Jadeja down to third place, and he also lost 20 ratings points.
For Sri Lanka, Niroshan Dickwella has gained three slots to reach 37th position among batsmen while off-spinner Dilruwan Perera has moved up three places to reach 22nd position among bowlers. Australia captain Steve Smith leads the table for batsmen with his counterpart Joe Root in the second position but a good 47 points behind.
