Massive encounter in kashmir :6 Terrorists killed

Srinagar Nov 19 :In a bid to eradicate terrorists in Kashmir, Indian army has conducted a search operation and 6 terrorists were killed in an encounter that took place yesterday.The terrorists killed include Two Lashkar-e-Taiba commanders and the nephew Owaid of the Mumbai terror attacks plotter Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi.The encounter took place in Kashmir's Bandipora district on Saturday evening.

Sources said that "An Air Force commando, who was part of the joint team lost his life in the operation and another soldier was injured."



Jammu and Kashmir police chief SP Vaid said that "All of the terrorists neutralized today were Pakistanis and the encounter is a huge success for security forces."

Police have added that "around 170 terrorists were killed in gunfights by the security forces this year. We have resorted to encounter during a cordon operation and all of the sudden terrorists opened fire and we resorted back and gave them a befitting reply."
