Green nod for Amaravatis Plan to be Practical

Amaravati, Nov 18: Amaravati, The capital of Andhra Pradesh became a focal point for so many to criticize the govt. From the selection of land to planning for the building every matter was ridiculed. The CM of AP Chandrababu Naidu who was already disappointed by the central govt's move to bifurcate the old AP had to work overtime for new capital, secretariat, assembly etc construction. With a great effort land was aquired but some approached courts. Now the National Green Tribunal cleared the obstacles by giving permission. Though some conditions were imposed by the NGT those were not of much worry.

CM Chandrababu had to manage political opposition, deficit budget financial position and at the same time had to manage with BJP which has an eye on extending its political base. So far 3 years passed and the construction which took place is in no way satisfactory.

As the construction area is not in a flood zone and bund pressure protects from flooding NGT approved. At the same time, it cautioned not to make any changes which will alter the situation. It has to submit the development to two high-level committees. Loss of crop area due to buildings construction is minimal. So no worry for any in this regard.

Now that a 'Yes' from NGT is there it is high time for the authorities concerned to make Amaravati a tourist center. It is also a fact it was once upon a time Buddhist religions center.

He also wants the building model to be of uniqueness to attract worldwide tourism. As some apprehensions about NGT permission were there up to now investments also could not be secured by the govt. Now industry bigwigs also can take decisions to start their programs.
