Massive earthquake hits South China

China Nov 18: A Massive earthquake has occurred in the Nyingchi, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region.The earthquake has occurred in early hours of Saturday.The Magnitude of the earthquake recorded was 6.9 on the Richter scale.

China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) has said that the earthquake has occurred today morning around 6.30 am.Currently, no casualties have been reported and all people are safe.

Tremors were felt in surrounding areas.Many buildings were damaged and power failure took place and the officials are busy in restoring the power.



The epicenter of the earthquake was Nyingchi City and was monitored at 29.75 degrees north latitude and 95.02 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of about 10 km.
