Boat Overturns in Krishna River, no casualties reported

Krishna Nov 17: In a tragic incident, a boat has overturned near Penumaka of Tadepalli Mandal on Krishna River on Friday.

officials have said, "there are no causalities in the mishap and all the worker's on board are safe."

Sources said that "the incident occurred near Penumaka when the workers on their back carrying quarried sand."

The eyewitness have said that" the boat has overturned because of excessive sand in the boat and luckily all the workers have escaped as they were helped by other people."

This is the second such incident in recent days.

Few days back a boat carrying nearly 45 people capsized on Sunday close to the Pavitra Sangamam at Ferry village near Vijayawada on Sunday evening. As many as 20 people have died in the boat capsized incident.

However, the local people lamented on the police and said that they reached the spot late.
