Dinosaurs era shark found living at Algarve coast-300 teeth

Recently scientists who were working to minimize unwanted catches in commercial fishing have accidentally discovered a shark from the Dinosaurs era. The research was being carried out at Algarve coast when they spoted the Shark. The existence of this sea predator dates back to 80 million years.

The body of the shark is like that of a snake with around 300 teeth. Scientists believed it to be a living fossil.

According to the scientists, the species is said to have remained unevolved since the Cretaceous Period, when the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops roamed the planet.

The scientists named the Shark "Chlamydoselachus anguineus". The Shark is said to get its name from the frilled arrangement of its 300 teeth.
