Chidambaram: BJP forced to accept Congress advice on GST

P Chidambaram, Congress leader said on Friday that the BJP has no other option but to change the GST implementation. He said that the Modi government is "panic stricken" and a "shower of changes" will take place in the GST council meeting in Guwahati.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is in the meeting to discuss and change the GST due to crticism and high negative effects.

Chidambaram also added that the government will be forced to accept the opposition advice and change GST due to the comming Gujarat assembly elections next month.

“Expect a shower of changes in GST rates from GST Council meeting today. Panic-stricken govt has no option but to concede demands for change."

“Thanks to Gujarat elections, government forced to heed advice of Opposition and experts on flaws in implementation of GST,” he tweeted.
