AP Assembly winter session begins without opposition Party

Amaravati, Nov 10: The Winter Session of Andhra Pradesh Assembly began here on Friday without the presence of Principal Opposition YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) members.

The YSRCP boycotted the session in protest against the Assembly Speaker's denial for disqualifying the defected MLAs.

The session would last for 10 days.

The Opposition benches were seen empty due to the boycotting of YSRCP members.After the session began at 9.

TDP Leaders fire on YS Jagan over Boycotting Assembly Session. Minister Kalva Srinivasulu termed it as an unfortunate thing to have no opposition leader in the Assembly. MLC Dokka Manikya Vara Prasad said Assembly is more sacred than Padayatra to discuss over people's problems.

He also advised Jagan to re-think about Assembly boycott. MP Maganti Babu predicted that TDP will win all the 175 seats in coming elections.

He criticised Jagan saying people will hate him for not responding to their problems being an opposition leader. BJP MLA Vishnukumar Raju satired that there is no need of opposition in Assembly.
