Andhra CM :Students' records must linked to AAdhar

Vijayawada, Nov 10: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister
N. Chandrababu Naidu wants school records of all students to be linked with the Aadhaar identification system.

In a review meeting on Thursday with officials of the Education Department, Mr. Naidu emphasized that every student should be registered. "I want all school records of students to be linked with Aadhaar to be able to access their enrolments and attendance details online," said Mr. Naidu, adding that the idea was to ensure 100 % enrolment of students.

He said records pertaining to teachers should also be uploaded so that based on them, transfers and promotions could be given.

Officials of the Intermediate wing said 33 new junior colleges had been sanctioned and 25 of them would be established this academic year.

He said officials of the higher education wing must use the parameters used for world rankings and assess the quality of the universities in the State.
