Traffic problems Lethargic approach of Authorities

Hyderabad city could proudly trumpet its legacy of Nizam the richest person in the world a century ago, but the dwellings in his capital city maintain narrow streets, the roads through wide enough in those particular routes where the king used to travel, the others were narrow and zig zag.At that time say 50 years back could fulfill the needs of the population of few lakhs.

Now there are around 50 lakh vehicles two-wheeler and four-wheeler and heavy vehicles etc in the greater Hyderabad municipal corporation limits

The main reason for Traffic Jams in GHMC limit:

Easy procurement of vehicles by loans, installment process which abets everyone to buy a vehicle and have his own way of transport without dependence on others.

When Traffic increases in proportion the roads for transport infrastructure also must expand.

The colonies which house large member of vehicles ad the coinciding time of offices, educational institutions some of the industries.

Old vehicles also cause the breakup in the middle and create traffic troubles.

The Public transport facility for all and rush hours only more patronage means it is beyond government's capacity to meet the demand.

It is also a fact Warangal engineering college was approached by HMC, RTC , HUDA jointly and asked for a report to ease traffic problems in the city. The college gave its report more than 23-years ago, as asked by the authors. It warned of the grave situation in future due to ever expansion of population , city and other standards of people. But the action was not taken on the time of advice.

Again HMDA asked for a report regarding the same problem from " Lab associates they to submitted report in 2013 itself. It games certain plans to join certain roads. Still action from authorities are so for not up to the mark.

At least the coming metro system of transport may ease this problem. The people are expecting it is not paucity of ideas but concentration on the problem is lethargic.

Management of train, road transport in proper way, taking road maintenance new road earmarking ina clear-cut and efficient way lead to lesse the problem.
