KTR: 2 logistic parks along ORR to take up on PPP mode

Hyderabad, Nov 02: The Telangana Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development KT Rama Rao informed the Assembly on Wednesday that, 12 Logistic parks proposed near Hyderabad Outer Ring Road (ORR) in the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) Master Plan, two are being taken up on "Public-Private Partnership" (PPP) mode at Mangalpally and Batasingaram.

Replying to a question raised by members in the house during question hour, Mr. Rao said the logistics park at Mangalpally is being taken up in 22 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 20 crore and another at Batasingaram is being developed in 40 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 35 crore.



These two projects were being taken up on design, build, finance, operate and transfer basis with a land lease period of 33 years, with a revenue share to HMDA on the operation without any capital investment by it or the state government, he added.

The two logistics parks are expected to create direct employment for nearly 900 persons, the Minister said. Similar logistic parks are being planned at other places along the ORR based on demand and requirement, the Minister said.

Truck parking lots, warehousing, cold storages, office space, automobile service centers, vehicle testing centers, dormitories and restaurants, fuel station were being created at these parks
