SC orders fast track trials of cases against politicians

In a democratic setup, the government is run by its employees, big or small. These employees are guided and directed by elected people representatives. The government and leaders themselves cannot run as they like.Whatever omissions or commissions that take place in this process is rectified by courts.Politicians who are elected by all citizens are called lawmakers. This is a common man outlook concerning our country's affairs.

Currently, many politicians become enter parliament and state assemblies by becoming MLA and MPS. Many of them have criminal cases registered against them but they enjoy the immunity from the law that they can become a politician unless the charges against them are proved in the court which is a time-consuming process because of the slow judiciary process in the country.

The supreme court in a move to expedite the pending cases has ordered the central govt to set up special courts/fast track courts so that the cases can be expedited and the future of politicians can be decided.

currently, there are many reasons for delays in trials of politicians one such reason is the influence of the leader on the investigative agency and the lack of proper infrastructure for the police to inquiry about the cases and the judiciary is overburdened with pending cases.

SC has also ordered to setup fast-track courts to resolve the cases of sensitive and High profile cases related to women who have suffered from sexual assault/rape victims.

The government has also assured the court that it would set up these courts and was actively considering law commission and EC commission proposal for a lifetime on a politician who is convicted in any cases against him.

Finally, our judiciary works on the principle that a person is not guilty of the crime unless proven and this approach needs a relook not only for the politician for common man too.
