PM Modi condemns New York terror attack

New Delhi, Nov 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday has condemned the terror attack in the New York City and extended his prayers and thoughts to the family of the victims.

PM has tweeted "Strongly condemn the terror attack in New York City. My thoughts are with the families of the deceased & prayers with those injured (sic)".

Earlier on Tuesday, a terrorist Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov killed 8 people and injured many people after he drove into bicyclists and pedestrians on a bike path in Lower Manhattan.He also left a note which contained details that he was agent of terrorist group Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).



New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has said that "based on information we have at this moment, this was an act of terror and a particularly cowardly act of terror aimed at innocent civilians".
