Japan PM Shinzo Abe won the elections

Tokyo OCt 23: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has once again won the election today. PM conservative coalition has won 311 seats in the 465-seat parliament.earlier he has given a shock to the opposition by resorting to the snap elections by dissolving parliament.

After his victory with vast majority Abe has said that "As I promised in the election, my imminent task is to firmly deal with North Korea.For that, strong diplomacy is required".

He added that "I don't plan to propose (changes) via the ruling bloc alone. We'll make efforts to gain support from as many people as possible."



Many people on Sunday have utilized their voting franchise as they braved torrential rain and driving winds down on the country.

Experts have said that PM has won because of the lack of unity in opposition parties which resulted in a landslide victory for the LDP.
