Zameen Samadhi Satyagraha: Protesting farmers celebrate Bhai dooj

Rajasthan : Zameen Samadhi Satyagraha a protesting movement started by farmers against the JDA, to save their lands haven't achieved any breakthrough. The protest is going on from 19 days to prevent the land from being acquired by the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA).

The agitating farmers even celebrated the festival of Bhai Dooj at the protest venue on Saturday.

According to the farmers, the JDA wishes to acquire land so that it can be used for building housing complexes to help it earn revenue.



Earlier, these farmers had even celebrated Diwali at the protest site by lighting earthen lamps.

The farmers have been protesting by standing neck-deep inside pits dug at the protest site. As many as 800 farmers, 500 of them females, have been on a hunger strike at the protest site.
