Surprise profits for Market Investors in Samvat 2073

When we consider the year long performance, Samvat 2073 (i.e Diwali last year to Diwali this year) has earned about Rs 25 lakh profit for investors. Bombay stock exchange (BSE) Sensex has gained 4642.84 points and National Stock Exchange (NSE) nifty has gained 1572.85 points on Wednesday.With this,investors' last year assets worth increased by Rs 25 lakh crore.

The last day of the trading year, Sensex had to see a loss of 24.81 points and Nifty a loss of 23.60 points.The investors were choosy during Diwali weekend and Rupee exchange rate with dollar became weak, so Sensex closed at 32584 points and Nifty at 10210 points.

Shares of Telecom, healthcare, consumer durables, automobiles, IT, metals, technology had to feel the pressure of sales.Better second quarter financial results paved small profits closure for Reliance Industries and Wipro. Shares of SBI, CIPLA, ICICI,Lupin, Sunpharma, Asian Paints, HUL,Bajaj Auto, Tata Steel, Maruti Suzuki became weak.

Due to Non-Performing Assets (NPA) increase in second quarter, Axis bank Shares deteriorated considerably on Wednesday. In BSE the bank share closed at Rs 464.35, recording 9.52 % loss.

The Mass financial services shares which went for public issue recently were listed on Wednesday.These were issued at Rs 459 and in BSE, listed at Rs 660 giving 43.79 % profit. At some point, these gained 48.35 % but came down to 42.64 % later and profit was Rs 654.75 at the end.
