AP CM extends support to US IT firms

Vijayawada, Oct 20: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister
N Chandrababu Naidu on the first day of his eight-day US tour attended a meeting on Thursday, interacted with representatives of various IT companies where he assured all cooperation to the companies who are willing to set up their establishments in Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Naidu has explained his vision of Visakhapatnam and the capital city Amaravati emerging as major IT hubs.

Of the 80 IT companies that attended the meeting, most of the representatives were Telugu people settled or working in the USA and showed interest to be a part of the IT sector development in the State.



While the AP government has already set a target to get at least 500 IT companies set up their units in the state in the coming year, around 450 Non-Resident Telugus in the US have shown interest to invest and 100 companies are keen to sign a MoU.

The Chief Minister has assured to provide the necessary infrastructure facilities in the next 12 months for IT companies to set up their units.
