Andhra CM met Nitin Gadkari,discussed on Polavaram Project

Nagpur, Oct 18: The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Union Water Resources Minister Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur here on Tuesday seeking early completion of the Polavaram irrigation dam Project.

While the duo has exchanged greetings and held talks on various issues, the polavaram project was the main subject of discussion with the Chief Minister pitching for more support from the Union government to meet the project deadline.



Speaking to the media in this regard, Chandrababu said that he briefed the Minister on the project and has received full support from him.

The multi-purpose irrigation project has been accorded national project status by the Union Government and the dam across Godavari River is under construction.
