YSRCP Jagan Promises waivers

Anantapur, October 18: YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has given a promise to the waives of Dharmavaram here on Tuesday. He said in a massive meeting at Dharmavaram, He assured them that when he becomes Chief Minister he will ensure that handloom weavers from 45 years onwards will be provided a pension of Rs 2,000 per month.

The Govt now paying only 1000 rupees per waiver, they said that we will double the pension when we are in power. The waivers, relay hunger strike for the past 37 days in Dharmavaram demanding clearance of the pending subsidy for the raw silk.

Speaking in a meeting he said that, "Our government will come to power in a year. I promise to give not 1,000 (as subsidy for raw silk per month), but 2,000, " the YSRCP leader even as he sought to remind them that the TDP government owed the weaver community subsidy dues worth several crores in Anantapur district alone.
