ITBP to be strengthened

The recent Doklam Standoff between Sino-India Border is paving the way for Indo-Tibetan Border Police(ITBP) to raise a special column to meet future necessities.The new mechanical column will have power vehicles and machines which will help the speedy movement of troops.

Though it is 50 years from inception the ITBP, a paramilitary force is being equipped with a military way of functioning to some extent.The home ministry of late has approved snow scooters at high altitude border outposts. It is guarding more than 3000 KM border.These weapons are trained in Mountain warfare. It is Known to procure Sports Utility Vehicles(SUV), All Terrain Vehicles (ATV), excavators, Some other four wheeler vehicles too.

As This Border police force is the one which has to face the burnt in times of conflict, it is being equipped with some sort of military's mechanized infantry up to now Border Security Force(BSF) which guards Indo-Pak has an artillery unit and mechanism of support .there are about 90,000 personnel in ITBP. There are about 80 border ports along Sino-India Border and is a possibility of Sanctioning one
snow Scooter for each post.

Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh keeping the present situation in mind has opined that our country is now strong enough to meet any eventuality during a Talk.The terrorism in Kashmir is weakening due to able retaliation of our forces.He has also said that even China understood India's capability.
