Sangeet Som calls Taj Mahal a blot on India culture

Sangeet Som, a BJP lawmaker called Taj Mahal a blot on Indian culture and even said that it should not be a part of India's history. He said it was built by a traitor.

Even the Uttar Pradesh government striked off Taj Mahal from the Uttar Pradesh tourism booklet.

Taj Mahal is a a 17th century marble monument which is known as 'Symbol of love', it is also one of the highest earning monuments in India when it comes to tourism generating revenue.

This hate speech on Taj Mahal angered many irrespective of their religion. Many commented on thinking of Sangeet Som and display of hate.

In Meerut, Sangeet Som said people should not think why Taj Mahal is not in the list of Tourisim .He said, "If this is history, then it is very unfortunate and we will change this history, I guarantee you."

Some even tweeted that "Sangeet Som is a blot on India. Why has Mr. Prime Minister not expelled him from the party despite assurance of no communalism for 10 years"
