SIT suggests: Gauri Lankesh murdered due to activism, not writing

SIT team is probing the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh and suggested that she may have been murdered due to her activism and not due to her writing.

The special investigative team (SIT) has made progress in the case but are tight lipped about it as they do not want to leak the details as of now.

SIT is now pursuing the social activism angle vigorously that could have instigated the killers. The chief of the special investigative team BK Singh said that they are hoping for another breakthrough which will bring the case to a close.

After a month of investigation, today the team has shared sketches of suspects. These sketches are made with the help of two professional artists, based on the CCTV footage and the eyewitness description.
