Himachal Pradesh Elections: List of BJP candidates to be announced soon

Assembly elections of Himachal Pradesh which are going to held on November 9 are crucial for BJP. Congress has majority of seats in Himachal Pradesh, so BJP is quity picky this time regarding the list of Candidates to be the face of BJP in the coming elections.

Top leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) met in New Delhi on Saturday evening to decide the list of candidates who would contest the November 9 Assembly election in Himachal Pradesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah attended the party's Central Election Committee meeting at the party headquarters to pick candidates for 68 Assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh.

In the 68-seat Himachal Pradesh Assembly, the Congress presently has 36 seats, while the BJP has 26. The rest of the seats are divided amongst Himachal Lokhit Party, which had bagged 1 seat and independent candidates.
