Sushma Swaraj slams Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, October 14: External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has slammed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi's comments about women wearing shorts in the RSS here on Saturday.

Modi's cabinet has six women ministers, including two in the powerful Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), Swaraj said while speaking at a 'Mahila Town Hall' here.

"I was made EAM in May 2014 and now Nirmala Ji is the Defence Minister. 2 out of 4 CCS members are women now," Swaraj said.

“Prior to our govt, no woman was ever a member of CCS, comprising Home, External Affairs, Defence, and Finance ministry,” Swaraj said.

While speaking of women's safety, the external affairs minister also added that the BJP would soon launch a panic button yojna to ensure their safety.

Swaraj's comments come days after Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi accused the RSS, the parent body of the BJP, of being anti-women. "
