20 yrs old girl gang raped in Chennai

Chennai, Oct 14: Here is a brutal incident has unveiled while a 20-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by our men at knifepoint after beating up her boyfriend at Nedumaram near Cheyyur in Kancheepuram district on Monday night.

The details reported that, The victim woman, who works at a textile shop in Koovathur on ECR, around 80km from Chennai, and her friend then lodged a complaint on Wednesday and police picked up three of the suspects for questioning.

The victim was sent to the Government Hospital in Chengalpet for an examination, a police officer said.

Police inquiries showed that the woman, who lives near Cheyyur, developed a friendship with a colleague in the shop where she worked. She often went out with the man from the same area, and they spent a lot of time together after work, police said.

On Monday night, after their shop closed, they went to the Nedumaram area and were sitting under a tree where the gang saw them. During questioning, three of the suspects admitted that all four of them were drunk and decided to approach the couple.

Brandishing knives, the gang thrashed the man. While one of them held a knife on him, the others took turns in raping the woman at knifepoint, police said, based on what the three suspects told them. In her complaint, the woman said the gang members detained them for more than three hours before fleeing.
