Kulbhushan Jadhav case: Pakistan Hussain Jilani to represent Pak side at ICJ

Pakistan appointed its former chief justice, Tassaduq Hussain Jilani to represent Pakistan's side at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.

Pakistan PM Shahid Abbasi took this decision to appoint jilani in Kulbhushan Jadhav case. Tassaduq Jilani, retired from the Supreme Court of Pakistan in July 2014. The case of Kulbhushan Jadhav was previously being handled by Khawar Qureshi.

Qureshi a lawyer an judge in Britian, is of Pakistani orgin and has once represented India against Enron in an international arbitration case on Dabhol power plant closure. India lost that case.

In the 12 member ICJ panel which is hearing Jadhav case Indian former Supreme Court Justice Dalveer Bhandari, is also included.
