Kadiyam Srihari to launch Swachh Patashala program

Hyderabad, Oct 7: The Telangana Education Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari have directed all schools to conduct Swachh Patashala program on last Saturday of every month to ensure cleanliness in their school premises.

Under the Swachh Patashala - Swachh Telangana programme, the school managements will have to conduct Swachh Patashala programme from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.

During the programme, emphasis should be laid on creating awareness on personal hygiene among students, need to wash hands before consuming food, ensure neatness in classrooms, provision of toilets and water tanks in the premises.

The Minister said for Swachh Patashala programme, apart from students and teachers, parents, NGOs and local elected representatives should be made to participate.

He added,"The programme will aid in the formation of Swachh Telangana."

He directed schools to submit a report and photos on the programme conducted in their premises.

The Minister said that awareness programme on children's rights and safety should be conducted in all schools on October 11.
