Doklam standoff: China said no dispute; Doklam was always part of China

When news of Beijing troops increasing in Doklam came out, China defended saying that there is no dispute in this matter and Doklam has been always a part of China. Doklam is China's teritory and it had always patrolled the area was clearly told by China.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry told on Friday, "There is no dispute that Donglang [as China calls Doklam] has always been a part of China's territory, and always under China's effective and valid administration."

However, India and Bhutan see 89 sq km area in the plateau as the area joining India-China-Bhutan trijunction as Bhutanese territory.

In the past India has not objected to Chinese patrolling, in the plateau but when China tried to construct its road deep into Doklam, New Delhi stepped in to stop the construction which was close to Indian border in June.
