Doklam face-off: China expands road with 500 Soldiers On Guard

Just a month after resolving the stand-off with India at the Sikkim border, the China is at it again. Barely 10km away from the location of the last conflict, Chinese army is back to building a road.

However, after last failed attempt China has moved unused road construction material to North and East of conflict area. The Doklam Plateau is claimed by both Beijing and Bhutan as their territory. India backs Bhutan's claim.

Indian soldiers crossed Sikkim border in june to stop the construction of a Chinese road near the "Chicken's Neck". It is the thin road which links India to Northeastern states.

By restarting construction China is giving a strong signel of proving its territorial claims on Bhutan's land.
