PM Modi: Growth will pick up with increase in demand

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has defended his government policies such as GST and Demonetisation. He has slammed critics for spreading pessimism and said that "There were quarters when growth was 0.2 percent, 1.5 percent,".

He has also presented some data indicators and said that the performance of these indicate that the growth is on the fast track.

# 12 % increase in passenger car sales

# 23 % increase in commercial vechile sales

# 14 % Two wheeler purchases

# 14 % increase in domestic Air Traffic

# 34 % increase in tractor sales

PM has said that above data indicates that the urban and rural demand has improved significantly in June and higher demand leads to higher growth.He has also indicated that

# double-digit inflation had come down to less than 3 percent.

# Current Account Deficit CAD was brought down to 2.5 percent.

# Fiscal deficit reduced to 3.5 percent.

Finally, he said that we will solve the problems faced by people because of GST and assured that we will not compromise on the future of the country for benefitting at present .
