CM KCR approves Second ROB Construction  on Hanamkonda-Khazipet route

Warangal Oct 4: In a Bid to ease Traffic congestion and provide relief for traffic commuters on the Hanamkonda-Khazipet route, Telangana State government has approved construction of a second road-over-bridge (ROB) at an estimated cost of Rs 78 crore.

Officials said that the existing ROB will remain operational and second ROB would be built in the Hanamkonda city to ease traffic congestion on the route.

Recently Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has cleared the proposal and the Roads and Buildings department has already issued an order sanctioning necessary funds in this regard.

The proposal for construction of the second ROB has been pending for a long time and with increasing vehicular traffic, In case of any repairs to the existing ROB or traffic jams, motorists had no alternate and demanded a parallel ROB was on the rise.

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari intervened and took up the issue with the Cheif Minister and he has approved the project.The Minister who hails from Hanamkonda has congratulated the CM and said that the construction would be completed at a brisk pace after tenders are issued.
