Dollar 8 billion credit to Bangladesh by India; third Line of Credit

On Wednesday, $4.5 billion third Line of Credit (LoC) agreement will be signed by Bangladesh with India.
This will be signed in the presence of Indian Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and his Bangladesh counterpart Abul Mal Abdul Muhith.

After this agreement the total amount of credit lines over the last six years to Bangladesh from India will be $8 billion. With this deal a number of key infrastructure priority projects of Bangladesh will be implemented.

Later, the Joint Interpretive Notes on the agreement between the two countries will also be signed at the ministry to promote and protect investments.

A press release from Bangladesh government official said, "Economic Relations Division (ERD), Secretary and Managing Director of Indian EXIM Bank, will ink the agreement on behalf of their respective sides at the Finance Ministry in Dhaka".
