Fancy Rate for Arjun Reddy satellite rights

Hyderabad, September 02: Vijay Deverakonda starrer Telugu romantic drama "Arjun Reddy", a modern-day retelling of Devdas. The film satellite rights were sold by the reputed channel for an whopping price.

Generally, If a movie has got hit talk, it's not long before the satellite rights are picked up by a channel for the fancy price.

Arjun Reddy has clinched the box office with the special content in the film. The film was made with a budget of around Rs 3 crore. And the makers sold the satellite rights for the same price.

But in case of Arjun Reddy, which has been a sensational hit, the deal did not happen smoothly.

Initially, The Zee Telugu Channel has bagged the satellite rights but they dropped in last minute due to the vulgarity of the content, at the same time, Star Maa has bagged the rights for the same price, However, some mannerisms and dialogues that became a hit in the film will not be seen or heard in the telly version.

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film also stars Shalini Pandey and Rahul Ramakrishna.
